"folks in housen, as the People of the Hills call them, must be ruled by Cold Iron"
Was something our sweet friend Puck once said and was later to appear in a poem written by a monkey.. oh and that monkey was a follower of the new way, made it strange what he was trying to say about us...he liked and disliked us..
A tale
"I was hearing a cry, the sobbing echoed from the house, I was determined to find this baby. But as I came to the house I felt something that itched myself. I found the window, looked inside and did see the baby and there was door on this side of the house. But when I tried to come close to open the door, the itchy feeling was stronger... up on the door did that strange form of mm I have heard they called it horse shoe.. I wonder why they use such on them, it must hurt so much when its nailed into a part of the body. But that thing on the door it was to much, I could hear the baby cry but couldn't do anything.. I couldn't get in....

The Cold Iron can be used to stop a fa'ae to enter place, A cage would not only 'stop' the fa'ae move but too it would probably drain the poor thing on its pure life and eventually destroy it. [Observe here; using a non cold iron tool would "kill" a fa'ae, just not how humans view death. A fa'ae would return to the nature, to its own element, and could return in a new form] Whereas Cold Iron can if used as a weapon or for a period [like a cage], it could destroy the fa'ae very existing.

OOC: So what is the Cold Iron? The words comes from that the iron feel cold to touch. Its a part of nature (chemical code is Fe ironic mm perhaps) millions of tales tell about the iron's good effect against spirits, evil, ghost, fa'ae and so on. How to destroy, keep them away and such things.
Cold Iron is an item that has been crafted by man in a certain way. The piece of Iron is forced to a new shape. Think about the old song in Kalevala where the smith Ilmarinen who is to forge Sampo. In that song we can see how each pieces takes it form by them self, before the right piece come takes the form of Sampo. This is the myths we have in Annwfn, everything has it true form even Iron. But when forced into a shape against its own will the Iron gets dangerous.
Its like taking a fa'ae to live with humans by their standard, the fa'ae will eventually "die" fade to something sad, become hollow and tragically fade away. This is why the fa'ae fears the Cold Iron as it is not more in its natural form so to say, and because of that it can destroy the fa'ae.
